Description
When the occasion calls for something really special and unique, Hanger Steak is our go-to. For starters, it's in a class all on its own -- there is only one hanger steak on each animal, so these steaks are few and far between. The texture is similar to skirt steak, but much more tender; the marbling and flavor is like a Rib Steak with an extra dose of umami and depth. If you go for a marinade, you'll get less of a sear but it's OK, the flavor in this one-of-a-kind steak more than makes up for it.
